Correctional Nursing: The National Commission on Correctional Health Care has the mission to improve the quality of health care in jails, prisons and juvenile confinement facilities.

Nursing in California: California Institute for Nursing & Health Care. A statewide non-profit, non-partisan organization, CINHC is developing solutions to California’s nurse shortage by partnering with nursing associations, educational institutions, hospital and health systems, foundations, policy leaders, health care companies, consumers and individual nurses.

Nationwide Nursing issues: American Nurses Association. The ANA advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the economic and general welfare of nurses in the workplace, projecting a positive and realistic view of nursing, and by lobbying the Congress and regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the public.
